Responsibilities

  • Analyze data quality, usage patterns, and business trends to inform data architecture improvements, data governance policies, and prioritization of data initiatives.
  • Define and implement data privacy and security protocols to ensure sensitive information is handled responsibly and in compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to build secure, scalable infrastructure for data storage, integration, processing, and access across internal systems and third-party platforms.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design and enforce access controls, data permissions, and authentication mechanisms across data platforms and tools.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation in data ingestion, transformation, validation, and reporting workflows.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources, data models, processing logic, governance frameworks, and decision-making processes to support transparency and cross-team alignment.
  • Lead and participate in meetings with stakeholders to review data strategies, gather feedback, and report on data quality, compliance metrics, and progress toward business goals.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, information systems, or a related technical field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets, ensure data quality, and guide data strategy improvements.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement data management solutions, with a solid understanding of data engineering workflows and data governance practices.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and monitoring tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or DataDog.
  • Proficiency in working with cloud platforms and tools for data integration and management, including AWS (Redshift, Glue), Azure Data Factory, or Google Cloud (BigQuery, Dataflow).
  • Experience implementing security, privacy, and compliance standards in data pipelines, especially in regulated or sensitive data environments.
  • Skilled in conducting data audits, incorporating stakeholder feedback, and recommending improvements to enhance data accuracy, accessibility, and business impact.
